US manufacturer Doc Johnson has been speaking after winning the 2016 ETO Award for Best Use of Social Media. The awards were presented on the evening of Sunday June 12th during the two-day annual B2B ETO Show, which takes place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) every summer.

“Building relationships has always been a crucial part of running a business and social media has become one of the most important advancements in engaging with, and staying connected to, our customers, partners, and vendors,” said Scott Watkins, Doc Johnson’s VP of sales and marketing. “Community engagement and education is an integral part of Doc Johnson’s overall communications strategy, and no one best exemplifies this strategy than our social media team. I speak for all of us at Doc Johnson when I say that we’re exceptionally honoured to receive this esteemed level of recognition.”

Doc Johnson marketing coordinator Ryann Brooks added: “We’ve been able to establish a really great social media following via a number of strategies, including producing engaging behind-the-scenes stories, hosting online product announcements and events, listening to and addressing concerns, and educating new fans and followers about the many benefits of our products. This award is true validation of all the hard work that goes into successfully managing a multi-platform social strategy, and also serves as an important endorsement of the value of our social media program.”
