The ETO awards, launched in 2005, recognised and rewarded excellence in every sector. All winners were chosen by the industry, using a unique democratic voting system – unlike any other awards in the market. Winners and Nominees profited from a marketing advantage due to the increased exposure. 

The ETO Show was launched alongside the Awards and became an important industry event, attracting thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors over the years. In 2016 the exhibition took a rest but returned in 2019 with a new format and venue. 

The Awards and Show alike became an important convivial event for an industry which had previously had no social focus.
