The organisers of Venus Berlin have outlined their plans for this October’s event, and there are some major surprises – who’d have thought Venus would ever be ‘non-erotic’? Regular visitors can calm down though as it’s only one hall which will carry this tag, and it will be aimed at manufacturers of shopfitting equipment, lighting systems and cash registers.
In addition to the above, and all the regular sections housing the main fair area, the business area, the trade area, web area and show area, there will also be another new addition for 2008, the fetish area. Under the tagline of Fetish in the City, this new sector will be operated in conjunction with the BoundCon Munich and will specialise in leather, latex, rubber, SM, bondage gear etc.
Also new for 2008 will be the Venus Octoberfest, scheduled for Sunday the 19th of October. On this day all trade visitors will be admitted free of charge and served complementary beer and Bavarian sausages, to the accompaniment of artists from the German folk music scene.
