With lingerie chain La Senza in the news for the wrong reasons, Boux Avenue, the rival chain set up by Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis [pictured], has reported “stonking” trading over the Christmas period.
Boux Avenue also has ambitious expansion plans, with 30 High Street branches earmarked by 2013. The firm currently has eight shops and it eventually expects 50% of its sales to come from its online store.
Mirror.co.uk reported Paphitis as saying: “Consumers are spending as much as they always have but are doing it in different ways.”
