Xcite Books has announced the names of the finalists for this year’s Xcite Awards and voting is now open – but only until February 13th.
Now in its second year the Xcite Awards celebrates and recognises companies, reviewers, bloggers and sexperts who value and support erotic fiction. Voting is restricted to one vote per category, per person and is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XciteAwards2013
“Last year saw a huge surge in interest in erotic fiction following the massive success of Fifty Shades of Grey,” said Xcite Books MD Hazel Cushion. “The internet and the advent of ebooks has completely changed the erotic fiction market and as yet there’s no recognition of this. Customers now have a wealth of review sites, author blogs and internet retailers to choose from so we feel it is important to highlight and celebrate the dedication of the people behind them.”
The shortlist has been drawn from nominations cast by Xcite Books customers, associates and members of the public. Voting for the finalists is open until February 13th and the winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day 2013. Each winner will receive a specially commissioned glass book.
Last year’s winners were Lovehoney.co.uk (Best Internet Retail Site); Cara Sutra (Best Blog); ETO (Best Publication); Sexytoytesters.co.uk (Best Reviewer); and Violet Blue (Best Sexpert). All of last year’s winners have been nominated again and they are joined by five other finalists in their category. ETO finds itself up against Attitude, Cosmopolitan, Diva, Jade Magazine and FemaleFirst while Lovehoney is competing with the likes of Amazon, Ann Summers and Sh! for the title of Best Internet Retail Site.
