Lovehoney ‘thrilled’ with response to Sex Not Socks charity event

Lovehoney staged its Sex Not Socks event at Observation Point on London’s Southbank from 9am-8pm on January 14th, where members of the public were invited to swap an unwanted Christmas gift (or make a cash donation) in exchange for a sex toy worth up to £59.99. Lovehoney will be donating all the unwanted gifts to charity shops that raise money for the homeless.

“We have been thrilled by the response to our first Sex Not Socks gift swap,” said Lovehoney brand and marketing director Helen Balmer. “We were swamped with gifts from the public which will be sold in charity shops to aid the homeless throughout the UK. We all get a few traditional but slightly dull presents each Christmas, such as socks and gift sets, which are stored away in a drawer and forgotten about. We wanted to put those unwanted gifts to good use with our Sex Not Socks event. It really captured the public’s imagination and we had a steady stream of visitors throughout the day.”
