Lovehoney Group’s inaugural Hackathon declared ‘a resounding success’

Lovehoney Group recently completed its first-ever Hackathon event, which saw over 50 team members from its Bath and Berlin offices unite for two days. This initiative aimed to deepen the culture of collaboration and innovation within the company, engaging participants in a variety of challenges spanning AI & Automation, Data, and Digital Product development.

The Hackathon not only highlighted the technical prowess and creativity of the Lovehoney Group’s team but also emphasised a group-first approach to innovation. The event concluded with a showcase judged by a distinguished panel, including CEO Johannes Plettenberg and top executives.

“The Hackathon was a resounding success, marked by the development of over 4,500 lines of code and the consumption of more than 200 litres of caffeine, fuelling the creation of 13 innovative hacks,” said a Lovehoney spokesperson.

Johannes Plettenberg, CEO of Lovehoney Group, expressed immense pride in the achievements and collaborative spirit demonstrated, highlighting the event as a testament to the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and technical excellence.

“The Lovehoney Group Hackathon 2024 led to great initiatives within the company, which will make consumers happy and employees’ lives easier,” the spokesperson concluded.
