Introducing Uni, the first Tenga unisex pleasure product

Tenga has announced the launch of its first unisex pleasure product, which it has aptly named Uni. The device is not only gender neutral, but reversible, and can be enjoyed solo or with a partner for both penile and clitoral stimulation.

The pliable, stretchy material can be placed on the fingers to stimulate the female genitalia or turned inside-out and worn by a male. The result of more than two years research and development, Tenga says the design reflects a new era of sexual openness, empowering individuals of all genders and orientations to explore and experiment. And as it is non-powered, it can be offered at a very competitive pricepoint.

The shapes and colours of the Tenga Uni are inspired by jewellery, with each design reflecting the look and shape of gemstones. Soft to the touch, each design features large complex ridges which are said to provide an intense and enveloping sensation, similar to oral sex.

The four designs are Emerald, Diamond, Topaz, and Amethyst. Emerald features large lateral steps,  Diamond sports small evenly arranged pyramids to simulate delicate stroking, Topaz offers round details for a rolling and bouncing stimulation, while Amethyst has a square cut to provide a wrapped sensation.

Eddie Marklew, Tenga global marketing manager, said: “Normalising pleasure and sexuality is something Tenga has stood up for from the very beginning and with the Tenga Uni we want to provide an item for all people, of all experience ranges, that’s simple to use and accessible to everyone. The Tenga Uni will be a positive alternative to the current options for pleasure toys. Most toys are historically male or female gendered, but the Uni is truly unisex which can also be used for solo or partnered sex. By breaking down these barriers, we have created a new category for unisex and universal pleasure items for everyone to enjoy.”

He continued: “The development of the Tenga Uni also lowers the barrier to entry for those who might not be experienced in using pleasure products, or who might feel a sense of discomfort with the traditional gender views in the category. There is a clear gap in the market for a pleasure toy that can be used for self-pleasure as well as partnered play, but is also gender neutral. Furthermore, the Uni is a unique product in its ability to be used by any gender pairing partnership.”

Retail price for Uni will be £6.90/€6.90 each or £27.20/€27.20 for a pack of four. For more details contact your favourite Tenga distributor or visit www.tenga.co
