Adultex 2019 receives “overwhelming response” from vendors

The organisers of Adultex 2019 have declared themselves “thrilled” with the “overwhelming response” to the most recent three-day B2B event, which concluded on 3rd April. Now in its 15th year, the most recent Adultex was staged in a five-star beachfront resort on Australia’s Gold Coast where it attracted 33 exhibitors and over 170 guests.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response from all vendors who supported Adultex 2019,” said Roger Sheldon-Collins, general manager of Calvista. “I would like to thank Calvista’s new and exclusive partners, Intimate Earth, Nexus, Pornhub and EROS.”
The Welcome Party, which was sponsored by CalExotics’ California Dreaming range, took place by the pool on the beachfront resort and guests were greeted with fire twirlers and beachy tunes from a leading DJ. California Dreaming prizes were also given away during the limbo competition.
This years’ focus was to educate key retail partners on the five pillars that makes for a successful business, so there were presentations on retail marketing and social media, merchandising, product quality, sales and the art customer engagement. Also, Frank Kok, sales director of Pornhub and Kiiroo, discussed emerging markets of the industry.
The annual Adultex Awards were presented at the Palazzo Versace Hotel and sponsored by Pipedream. The fancy dress event had a Hollywood flavour, with guests taking a red carpet walk and getting papped like movie stars. The party featured a live band and casino tables.
Among the winners were CalExotics, which was named Company of the Year and it also scooped Best LGBTI Range for its Colt collection. Pictured with the trophies are CalExotics’ Lupe Martinez and Jackie White. Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics, said: “We are ecstatic! These awards mean so much to us. Roger Sheldon-Collins, general manager of Calvista, said: “Adultex continues to be the premier adult tradeshow in the southern hemisphere and we look forward to hosting our 16th Adultex next year. We have a big job on our hands to top this year’s Adultex, but planning has already commenced to make Adultex 2020 bigger and better.”
