Virtual Venus attracts more than 200 camgirls

Back at the end of October – the 22nd to the 25th, to be more precise – the first Virtual Venus took place. A joint venture between the Berlin Venus event and MyDirtyHobby.com, it was widely promoted on Venus’s social media accounts, especially Facebook.

As a way of keeping the Venus name in people’s minds in a year when the physical event had to be abandoned due to the pandemic, it made perfect sense. If you’re unfamiliar with Berlin’s traditional annual Venus events, they’re retail shows for the adult sector, with a large number of performers in attendance too. As a real-life glimpse of ‘online activities’, this element was ideal to safely port across to an online-only event capturing the erotic, playful spirit – if not the full breadth – of Venus.

A spokesperson from the Venus press office told ETO: “We wanted to give our fans the chance to meet their idols in any way this year, around Venus time. And off course to have any presence for our community, for performers and for media. We created a new brand in August and wanted to fill it with life.”

Asked how the online event had been received, the spokesperson said: “The girls were very happy to have the chance to perform in another way for their fans and were easy to convince to take part. The fans – the Venus community – were also happy to get some change in daily life in Covid-19-times. It’s not comparable to a normal Venus, but also different to normal cam shows. We focused on shows from girls for fans, but on a flat rate model. With our main partner MyDirtyHobby, that was possible to realise in a very professional way. In the background countless technical working hours were necessary to create the website and make the virtual event possible. We learned a lot about digital events, but hopefully we’ll be back in the real world next year.”

More than 200 camgirls participated in the event.
