It looks like a battle for trade visitors will be taking place in Berlin this October, with debut event eroFame stating that founder exhibitors Scala Playhouse, ZBF, Orion, Pjur, ST Rubber and Joydivision will be joined by many more big names from the industry. The organisers have therefore decided to change the location of eroFame to the Metropolis Halle/Babelsberger Filmpark (Babelsberg movie park) in Berlin/Potsdam.
Shuttle buses will carry visitors between eroFame and the partner hotel – Kongresshotel Potsdam – and there will also be an eroFame party for all exhibitors and visitors.
The new eroFame event is going up against the long established, and hugely successful, Venus Berlin and the Venus organisers have reportedly developed a new concept for this year’s B2B area – though details had not been revealed at the time of going to press. The organisers will also be piloting the Venus Congress – an international symposium which is designed to ‘serve as a platform for the exchange of information and experience’ for professionals from all areas of the industry. Topics to be covered include search engine optimisation, content management and general law issues.
With the two events taking place almost simultaneously, some exhibitors will face a decision over which one to back. Shots Media has put a poll on its website and it says it will listen to its customers before announcing its verdict.
