3D has become almost commonplace in mainstream cinema but leading bookie Paddy Power is now taking bets on which adult filmmaker will release the world’s first 3D porn film.
3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy from Hong Kong director Christopher Sun is the bookies’ 5/4 favourite ahead of Italian director Tinto Brass whose planned 3D remake of Caligula is considered a 2/1 shot to be released first by Paddy Power.
In America, adult filmmakers Hustler has commenced production on a 3D porn version of James Cameron’s sci-fi epic, Avatar. This has been installed at odds of 3/1 to beat both 3-D Sex and Zen and Caligula for a theatrical release.
Paddy Power said: “The movie industry has embraced 3D and the public can’t get enough of it so it’s no surprise that adult film should move in this direction. Needless to say we’ll be keeping our 3D specs and hankies at the ready!”
