Wizards of Oz: Lovehoney wins innovation award down under

Lovehoney will need to buy a bigger trophy cabinet soon as just weeks after scooping three ETO Awards (for Best Online Retailer, Best Sales Team, and Best Brand Ambassador for Kate Egan), it has been crowned Innovation Champion Of The Year at this year’s National Retail Awards, commending the company’s work in the Australian market.

The NRA awards celebrate the best of retail, recognising businesses and individuals across Australia that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and have made a significant contribution to the industry. Run by the National Retail Association and in conjunction with Retail Global, Lovehoney’s award recognises an Australian retailer that embraces innovation and has successfully implemented a new and innovative strategy over the past 12 months.

Lovehoney Australia director Rob Godwin said: “We are honoured to win an award at this year’s NRAs, and I would like to say a huge thank you to our customers and our team at Lovehoney, without whom it wouldn’t have been possible. It’s so great for the adult industry to be recognised at such a prestigious awards ceremony, alongside major mainstream retailers such as Appliances Online and Amart. We hope this is the first of many awards for Lovehoney at the NRAs.”

Lovehoney launched into Australia in 2013 and it was selected as a finalist in two award categories – Innovation Champion Of The Year and Online Retailer Of the Year and was the only adult company to be shortlisted within any category.
