Scala has announced that its new S8 ‘drugstore’ collection is ready to order. S8 was created after Scala concluded there was a gap in the European market for a modern, unisex drugstore range that gives consumers an overview of what to expect and conforms to all EU guidelines and standards on personal lubricants. Clear packaging listing the USPs, quality formulas with body-safe properties, and attractive pricing so retailers could use the products as up-sell items were key factors Scala wanted to incorporate in the range.
“These days, consumers are much more educated on what they are buying and they are demanding transparency and trademarks for their products,” said Scala. “Both apply to S8 – it has a medical grade approval, plus clearly lists ingredients on the packaging. The transparency and natural appeal of the S8 formulas is reflected in the artwork and design of the packaging – simple, stylish, and straight to the point. We gave the collection a fresh, young look by going for a ‘less is more’ design, but consumers will still be able to instantly point out the water-based lube, warming lube and flavoured products without having to take a closer look at the packaging. Bold colour, non-intimidating tubes, and contemporary fonts allow for mainstream presentation in any in-store display.”
Scala states that its aim was to keep the collection as natural as possible, so there are no preservatives and the products, all of which are produced in Germany, are paraben-free, phthalate-free, and gluten-free.
There are 33 SKUs, including water-based, silicone, and anal lubes, along with warming, cooling, and flavoured options, plus clitoral arousal gels, and male delay/prolong gels.
