End of the road for ETO Show

The ETO Show is no more. The B2B event, which was first staged in 2005, was held annually up until 2020 when UK lockdown restrictions resulting from Covid forced the postponement of the show just days before it was scheduled to open its doors.

These restrictions remained in place throughout 2021 but the show was expected to return in 2022.

As every UK-based company that deals with Europe is aware however, the business landscape has changed dramatically in the intervening years. Thanks to Brexit, UK firms can no longer trade seamlessly with their counterparts in the EU – where the majority of ETO Show exhibitors were based – and when ETO magazine ceased publishing its print edition in March 2022, confidence in the ETO Show concept fell, with a number of leading exhibitors withdrawing their support.

With the future of the event appearing untenable, the sole director of ETO Show Ltd has appointed Stewart Goldsmith and Carl Derek Faulds of Portland Business & Financial Solutions as joint liquidators of the company.
