America welcomes Monogamy

Adult board game Monogamy has long been a favourite in Europe and it has recently been getting a warm reception across the pond too. QVC equivalent Evine After Dark chose Monogamy to feature in its first adult show dedicated to sex toys and the game has also received praise in the US from Men’s Health Magazine and leading American sexpert and digital influencer Dr Emily Morse.

Monogamy lets couples live the fairy-tale, that one person can meet all their partner’s emotional, romantic and sexual needs, by making them the ‘attractive other’. It challenges players to break free from their routine, with the intention of getting them aroused in the presence of each other, not another. Since its early noughties launch, it has gone on to sell over one million copies worldwide and it is now available in eight different languages.

Although board games are traditionally associated with winter, Creative Conceptions believes that Monogamy is a game for all seasons, and it enables retailers to up-sell due to its kinky demands for accessories and role-play scenarios.

“Celebrate the great British summer with some fizz and fetish,” said Creative’s Jane Bowles. “Players can roll out the BBQ and indulge in some sizzling sex with their sorbet, pend a lazy summer’s afternoon licking ice cream from their nether regions, or dare to have a quick frolic amongst the sand dunes…. The erotic possibilities are endless and with a simple role of the dice their fantasies can come to life.

“With over 400 cards encouraging role-play and improvisation, the game has no boundaries and can transport a love affair to all kinds of weird and wonderful heights. Indoors or alfresco, Monogamy will have players’ sexual imagination running wild.”
