Pipedream implements plan to keep employees safe and customers’ shelves stocked

Pipedream Products has implemented a strategic plan to keep employees safe while supporting its wholesale and retail partners during the current coronavirus pandemic. The firm says that although shipments out of China will be delayed for approximately two months, impacting manufacturers across all industries, not just the adult sector, Pipedream Products is has taken steps to help its customers and partners keep their shelves stocked.

Pipedream’s diversified manufacturing capabilities gives it immediate access to select product lines, including its award-winning King Cock which is made in the company’s state-of-the-art factory in North America, and its sales and training staff are servicing customers by video conferencing to maintain the personal connection with customers.

Pipedream CEO Matthew Matsudaira says the company has received 40% higher revenues during the first two months of 2020, compared to the previous two months, driven by strong demand in Europe and the US, and its facility is operating at capacity to meet the demand for King Cock products.

In addition to maintaining production and distribution, Pipedream is taking the following steps to support its employees and partners during this difficult time: all air travel, domestic and international, has been suspended until further notice; office staff are able to take advantage of remote working capabilities; a digital educational program has been implemented to support telecommuting; showroom tours and new product demonstrations are being conducted virtually, allowing partners to experience new items and engage in product education from their own locations; and precautionary measures have been put in place to help reduce the risk of infection to employees and their families while keeping the supply chain moving.

“We appreciate our customers’ loyalty and value the trust they place in us as a manufacturer, and we want to let the industry know that we have specific measures in place to keep everyone safe while supporting the supply chain,” Matsudaira said. “This is a stressful and uncertain time with many businesses concerned about lost revenue and employees fearful about lost income. At Pipedream, we want to do everything within our control to support the industry while maintaining appropriate safety protocols for our most valuable asset: our people.”
