Pop star Katy Perry can be seen dancing with a Womanizer Premium 2 in the music video for her latest single, Woman’s World, which drops tomorrow, 11th July. The American singer, songwriter and former judge on American Idol has released her seventh album and Woman’s World is its first single.
Womanizer says its mission has always been to remove the taboo around female masturbation and it has been spearheading open dialogue around the topic for the last decade. The Katy Perry video turns common male cliches on their head, and the Womanizer Premium 2 is portrayed as a signifier of female power and pleasure, as she pulls it from her tool belt.

One of Katy’s best-known songs is her 2008 release, I Kissed a Girl, and she is known for encouraging her fans to explore sexual desires beyond heteronormative expectations. She is not the first songstress to actively promote Womanizer products though: in 2020, British singer Lily Allen fronted the brand’s #IMasturbate campaign which challenged existing assumptions and myths about female sexuality and raised awareness for sex positivity and female masturbation.
