We-Vibe reassures retailers and app users following Lovense data concerns

Following last week’s news that Lovense had fixed potential data concerns, We-Vibe has created a campaign with assets around app security. A We-Vibe spokesperson said: “We fully understand the concerns around app security – it’s a critical and sensitive topic in our industry.”

An official statement from the company said: “With privacy and security at its core, the We-Vibe app stands out in the sexual wellness category by removing common digital friction points: no email registration, no user searchability, and no passwords to remember. Instead, the app offers effortless pairing by simply scanning the barcode on the outside of the product box, letting couples focus on connection, not login screens.

“Key security protocols include end-to-end encrypted communication for remote play and shared control, ensuring all data stays private between partners, whether they’re in the same room or across the world.”

Lovehoney Group CEO Johannes Plettenberg added: “In a space as personal as pleasure, trust is everything. We built the We-Vibe app to deliver a premium experience that respects user privacy while also offering creativity and control in intimate play.”
