The organisers of October’s Venus fair have announced the show will be more inclusive and boast additional content to reflect the changing lifestyles of its visitors.
“Since the Venus has experienced a strong rejuvenation and a noticeable increase in female-read guests in recent years, we see it as our duty to meet these demands and desires and to give a starting signal with Venus Berlin 2023,” said a spokesperson. “With an inclusive campaign motif, we are broadening our horizons and want to bring new forms of eroticism, porn, and lifestyle to Venus. This process will be an expansion of the programme and offer, and should also provide a shelter for more femininity with our return of the Female-Only Area. Especially for our male-read guests, the offer should show the incentive for Bi+ sexuality, polyamorous relationships, and much more through exhibitors, stage programme and innovations.”
In addition, the show wants to advocate for communities and point out the necessary legal gaps in the field of sexuality, identity, and sex work. “Sex work is work, needs self-determination and the recognition of all people,” said the spokesperson. “Furthermore, the Berlin fair would like to support the Bi+ community and polysexual lifestyles and demand in cooperation with the Berlin CSD e.V. to support the ‘Basic Law for All’ initiative associated with the extension of Article 3 GG and thus the legal protection of sexuality and identity in the Basic Law.”
Venus will use its stage and reach to draw attention to this content with a programme item. And trade visitors will be catered for in the B2B-only Business Area.
“Whether wholesale and retail, online store, affiliate, traffic, payment or age verification, all facets of the industry will meet here in a relaxed atmosphere,” said the spokesperson. “In panels and lectures, companies and individuals present themselves and discuss current topics of the industry. The Venus Model Lounge and the Venus Exhibitor Lounge in the same hall bring together content creators, exhibitors, and trade visitors.”
Venus B2B will be separate from the consumer show and will be open 11am – 1pm on Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th of October, and from 11am – 3pm on Saturday 28th October.
