UK adult consumer show postponed until 2025

The UK will not be hosting an adult consumer show in September as Expo Erotica has been rescheduled for 2025. Originally proposed for Telford in May 2020, the debut show – like so many other events at that time – was cancelled due to the UK’s coronavirus lockdowns, but in February 2024 it was announced that the event would be staged from 27th – 29th September 2024 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham.

The dedicated show website revealed that the event would have a packed programme to attract visitors, including workshops, catwalk shows, sex talks from a variety of experts, a fans zone, and even a B2B area.

The organisers stated: “Since 2020 the demand for a UK adults-only show has not stopped, in fact it’s only increased, with the Expo Erotica inbox continuously inundated with emails from exhibitors old and new, along with masses of enquiries for tickets.”

The projected numbers were certainly ambitious: 300 exhibitors, 30,000 consumers, and 3,000 trade visitors.

The statement added that the show would feature some of the biggest brands in the industry, a runway showcasing the latest trends in latex, leather and lingerie, and VIP lounges where visitors can meet their favourite Dommes, OnlyFans, and cover girls.

When it does take place, Expo Erotica might not be at the NEC though: the website currently lists the location as ‘TBA’.

The organisers have been contacted and invited to comment on this story.
