Überlube exhibited at September’s Pause Live, the UK’s largest menopause event, which was held at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms and attracted over 2,000 visitors. Überlube says the event provides a platform for celebrating women’s health and empowerment, as well as offering them access to leading education and innovative products to meet their wellness needs and elevate their confidence. The show seeks to address a myriad of menopausal symptoms, from bladder to bone, hair to heart, sex to skin, mental health and more.
One of the experts speaking this year was Dr Michael Krychman, a doctor of sexual medicine, a board-certified obstetrician and gynaecologist and medical consultant at Überlube. Dr Krychman concluded the sessions on the Educational Stage at PAUSE where he spoke about ‘When Menopause and Andropause Collide – Understanding Midlife Relationships’.
Key takeaways from the discussion included that the frequency of sexual intercourse in relationships declines as we get older, and menopausal woman may experience symptoms like vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, increased time to sexual arousal, and less intense orgasmic response, which lube can help with.
Überlube states that with 13 million women going through menopause in the UK, an industry estimated to be worth $600 billion and women of 45 plus, accounting for 60% of the beauty market, this is an arena more than worthy of brand investment.
“Help is out there but it’s not always easy to find,” said Charlotte Body, representative at Pause Live. “The aim of the show is to bring some of the top experts into one arena, all under one roof. You are in good company with hundreds of other perimenopausal or menopausal women attending. We even have a meet and greet scheme for those who are coming alone. We want to empower women UK wide to find the solutions to their symptoms.”
Überlube’s brand director, Cheryl Sloane, added: “The stigma of using sex-related products is now gone and people are starting to think of personal lube as an integral part of their health and wellness, in this case a tool to fight menopausal symptoms. This is due to events such as Pause Live that provide an educational platform for women and everyone affected by menopause with needed resources and community support. No one needs to be alone on this journey.”
Pause Live was held on 14th September 2024 and the next event is scheduled for 4th October 2025. Full details can be found here
