Twist and flout: new lingerie brand launches

New London-based start-up Twisted Lingerie has announced the launch of its first collection. Named Xenia, the debut range is available exclusively online. Inspired by the fetish lifestyle, the brand aims to realise its vision of putting the possibility of high quality and well-priced garments out there – the price range starts at £17.

The Cambridge graduate CEO and founder of Twisted Lingerie Sophie Thorne saw a gap in the market for seductive lingerie which was also affordable: “Women shouldn’t have to wait for a special occasion to treat themselves, which is why we wanted to make it possible for them to buy new lingerie without breaking the bank,” she said. “Whether they conceal their Twisted side under their work wear or style their underwear as outerwear, our mission is to empower women to embrace their desires and to encourage them to make every day that little bit naughtier.”

Thorne added: “The gap between cheap and tacky and super high end seems to be growing – not many women feel comfortable spending £250 for a lingerie set, but they don’t necessarily want to buy a red push-up bra either.”
