Following the unveiling of the trailer for the forthcoming movie, the next wave of Fifty Shades of Grey official pleasure products will be released this month by Lovehoney. There are six new lines joining the collection, including a classic vibe, a mini clitoral vibe, a vibrating butt plug, a vibrating cock ring, a USB rechargeable bullet vibe and a massage candle.
The new products come in the distinctive dark and brooding Fifty Shades packaging and are supplied with an instruction booklet and a grey drawstring storage bag adorned with the FSoG logo (except the candle, which is packaged in a tin). To support the new lines, branded acrylic product holders are available for retailers to display the items in-store.
With the Fifty Shades of Grey movie just six months’ away, interest in the franchise is expected to ramp up significantly in the lead up to its release. In July, musical diva Beyonce appeared to confirm rumours that she would feature on the film’s soundtrack after she posted a video preview clip of the movie to her Instagram account. Days later, the film’s official trailer was released (see it online at www.fiftyshades-movie.co.uk). The Fifty Shades of Grey movie, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and starring former Calvin Klein model Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 13th – one day before Valentine’s Day.
Lovehoney co-founder Neal Slateford said last year: “Three movies are planned and these should introduce Fifty Shades to a whole new wave of consumers who possibly aren’t readers or who haven’t had time to pick up the books. We are expecting a second surge of interest in products associated with the book.”
The new Fifty Shades toys are: Charlie Tango, a classic vibe which features three vibration speeds and four patterns; the single-speed Feel It Baby vibrating cock ring; the Pure Pleasure USB bullet, which has thee speeds and nine patterns; the Delicious Fullness vibrating butt plug and Sweet Touch clitoral vibe – both of which offer three speeds and seven patterns; and the Massage Me candle, which is said to be infused with the scent of Christian Grey.
The new Fifty Shades of Grey toys will be available from ABS Holdings and Eropartner Distribution and European retailers can also purchase from City Realex, Dildos Assorted, Kema, MSX Distribution, Orion, Rimba and Starnet World.
