A new start-up is crowdfunding a pleasure product that not only simulates oral sex but also whispers sweet nothings to its user, in the language of their choice. Le Tongue is made from a silicone composite with ridges and grooves running the length of its surface. Le Tongue does not vibrate; instead, a ripple movement spreads from the base of to its tip, gently ‘lapping’ at the user’s intimate areas to mimic cunnilingus.
But what sets Le Tongue apart from other pleasure products is its speech chip. There are seven versions available (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, and Welsh) and each speaks to the user in its respective languages. On the lowest setting, Le Tongue hesitates every 60 seconds or so to deliver a romantic phrase, such as “You look so beautiful”, and on the highest setting the interval is every 120 seconds, and the phrases are considerably more explicit.
Although the speech can be heard from Le Tongue, the makers recommend connecting Le Tongue to a Bluetooth speaker or other external sound source for most impact. “Including a Bluetooth transmitter adds very little to the cost but so much to the experience,” said designer Agatha Snide. “Hearing a deliciously deep French accent tell the user how sexy they look tonight – while lapping at their intimate areas – is something everyone should try at least once in their lives.”
Snide added that Le Tongue could also be used as an aid to learning a foreign language, as each model includes over 100 phrases and compliments, and the user can opt for either a male or female voice to speak to them.
