Take Me Out man’s gay porn past

Stephen Goddard, a former easyJet steward and a contestant on ITV1’s dating show Take Me Out on February the 12th, found himself in the papers thanks to both his drag act – as Misty Monroe Manhattan – and a past in gay porn.

Described as ‘a blond hunk’ in press reports, and often seen posing naked with a football maintaining his modesty, he didn’t last long on comedian Paddy McGuinness’ game show, although one girl from Brighton suggested she’d met his type before. The straight-only programme’s producers were apparently under the impression Stephen had recently left a year-long relationship with a girl, and that he used his drag persona to meet women.

Interviewed by the BBC on the Nottingham People page of their website, in 2005 Stephen from Mansfield said, “Unlike those who say they will do anything for fame but actually won’t, I actually will. So far, I have conned the national tabloids into thinking I was a pre-op transsexual in the final line-up for Big Brother, I have descended upon the Big Brother garden via a crane – and then subsequently been removed by the police. I have gate-crashed celebrity haunts, I have exposed myself to Tom Cruise in the middle of Leicester Square dressed as Misty in a bra and tutu… The only thing that has remained consistent in my life is my quest for fame. Everything else in my life will remain on pause until I realise this dream.”

If hitting the tabloids, being on a TV dating show or appearing ‘with dildo’ at www.englishlads.com/model-steve-goddard in 2005 counts as fame, Stephen’s made the big time.
