Svakom has reached a notable milestone with two of its products, Sam Neo 2 Pro and Vick Neo 2, now included in Norway’s public assistive device scheme for sexual health support. This places Svakom among a limited group of manufacturers whose products are eligible for prescription through Norway’s publicly funded healthcare system administered via NAV.
In Norway, authorised healthcare professionals can prescribe sexual health assistive devices when they’re considered medically relevant. Once approved, eligible products are provided to patients at no cost through the public system. Svakom’s entry into this framework represents a shift from purely consumer distribution toward a regulated, healthcare-integrated channel, expanding its relevance in clinical and rehabilitation contexts.
“Being included in this program is an important recognition of the quality and reliability of our products,” said Quintet AS, Svakom’s Norwegian distribution partner. “In Norway, sexual health is recognised as an important part of overall health and well-being, and access to safe, professionally recommended products can make a meaningful difference for many patients.”
While not classified as medical devices, they can be used as part of the recovery process. In this case, this may include helping restore sexual function after illness, surgery, or injury, supporting pelvic floor rehabilitation, improving sensory response and circulation, and supporting emotional well-being and intimacy. The development reflects broader healthcare trends recognising sexual health as part of overall patient outcomes.
