Sex educator and kink expert Alice Lovegood has been shortlisted for two SNAP (Support Network for Adult Professionals) awards: Female Content Creator of the Year and Sex Positive Influencer of the Year. Her Better Sex blog amassed 200,000 followers in just two months this year when her content – centred around normalising kinks and fetishes – started to gain attention from kinksters and those who felt shame in their desires.
Believed to be the highest-followed UK sex educator on Instagram, Alice’s contributions have been focused on providing inclusive, sex-positive information and resources for people of all genders, sexualities, and lifestyles. Being in a polyamorous relationship with her long-term husband, her followers often seek advice and guidance on her content regarding open relationships and how to deal with the jealousy it may bring.
“It’s such an honour to be shortlisted for these awards,” Alice said. “After discovering how therapeutic sex and intimate connection can be, I’ve made it my mission with the Better Sex blog and my social media to create a safe, shame-free space where others can explore their sexuality and learn without judgment. I feel blessed to be nominated and to be part of such a fantastic community that inspires my work every day.”
You can vote in the SNAP awards here until 6pm GMT on 31st May 2024.
