Sagami eyes new UK retail and distro partnerships

Sagami is rolling out its UK distribution and retail programme and would like to launch new partnerships in Q1 2026. The Japanese condom manufacturer is now welcoming trade and retail enquiries from UK distributors, retailers, and B2B partners with a minimum first order value of £500. “Mix and match” is available so partners can tailor orders across Sagami’s product range.

Sagami launched its thinnest-ever ultra-thin polyurethane (PU) condom in September, which the brand says is designed to deliver maximum intimacy, safety, and comfort without compromise”. Sagami’s expansion into the UK marks a major step in its global growth strategy, with additional product launches and retail rollouts planned for 2026.

“For over nine decades, Sagami has been at the forefront of condom innovation,” said Wallis Chow, a representative of Sagami UK. “Our goal has always been to make protection feel as natural as possible and with Sagami Original, that vision is finally a reality.”

Sagami has researched the sector and says that the UK condom market remains a strong and steadily expanding part of the sexual wellness industry. According to Grand View Research (2024), the market was valued at around US$336 million in 2023 and is expected to grow at a six percent Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) through to 2030, reaching roughly US$668 million. Meanwhile, IndexBox (2024) reports UK condom consumption at around 588 million units in 2024, with modest projected growth to 608 million units by 2035. While latex condoms still represent nearly 89 percent of the market by material type, MarketResearch.com (2024) notes that non-latex options, such as polyurethane and polyisoprene, are the fastest-growing segment.
