The inventor of the Hello Clitty sex toy is seeking to sell his entire stock, which amounts to 480 units, and is open to offers from an enterprising retailer or distributor. Designed by performer, entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker Shed Simove, Hello Clitty was developed in conjunction with UK manufacturer Rocks-Off in 2018.
The ten-speed bullet vibe is 9 cm long and features a cute ‘paws’ design, which is also carried through to the packaging. It is CE certified, waterproof, and runs on one AAA battery, which is included in the box. It has a suggested retail price of £14.99.
Shed Simove believes it will make a perfect Christmas or Valentine’s gift: “It’ll give the recipient a laugh, plus give them enormous pleasure too, two very precious and needed resources in the world we live in today.”
Despite creating the product in 2018, Shed did not actively seek to sell it within the trade, instead using it for promotional purposes for his other activities.
“This item has been a massive passion project of mine for many years,” Shed told ETO. “I managed to obtain the trademark (number UK00003135125) for the brand name ‘Hello Clitty’ in 2016 and from then on I tried to bring the idea to life. I had many false starts. A first iteration of the concept was a large Chinese cat that vibrated. I dealt with a factory in China for years and spent a fortune on making samples, but the end product wasn’t up to scratch.
“I was eventually very fortunate to partner with the amazing team at Rocks-Off. The Hello Clitty bullet took years to develop because we spent a long time getting the packaging right, in a beautiful foil blocked rose gold. I want to sell all 480 in one go to an enterprising entrepreneur, wholesaler or retailer, so I’m willing to sell the whole for a lot less than their retail worth. Make me a good offer and get a really unique item that’s genuinely a limited edition.”
