Mister B has opened its third franchise store, in Paris. Friends, family and socialites of the Paris gay scene gathered on the Rue du Temple in Le Marais to celebrate the official opening, which was performed by Mister B owner Wim Bos. After a short speech he cut through the tri-coloured red, white and blue bondage rope, in the colours of the French and Dutch flags.
Internally, the shop is described as combining fetish and style in a unique way, starting with a narrow corridor entrance. On one side it features glass vitrines filled with metal works, such as cock rings, speculums and other fetish gear, while the other side consists of a long mirrored wall to give the store a spacious feel. At the end of the corridor is a concrete and steel counter and bar where customers can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. To the right there is an opening to a large area containing Mister B’s leather collection, dildos, toys and slings while stairs lead down to the cellar, a dungeon style area where the rubber collection is displayed.
A Mister B spokesperson said: “It was a very social event where old friends gathered and new friendships were formed. Champagne was the social lube that night and everyone had a fantastic time. Later in the evening presents were offered by Wim Bos and the Amsterdam and Berlin shop managers – the highlight being the ‘Amsterdammertje’, an iconic street pole found throughout the streets of Amsterdam with the three St. Andrew’s crosses on it. After the opening official, the party moved on to the Spyce bar nearby where guests danced the night away.”
