Wendy Stevenson of IOS Games has announced that, following an “overwhelming response” to a news story in ETO concerning the launch of her adult board game Sexopoly, she has decided not to renew the lease on her adult store in order to devote more time to the new business.
Wendy’s shop – SWALK Adult Store in Hertford – opened five years ago and although it will soon be closing its doors its name will live on. Wendy explained: “Although we are closing the retail shop we will still be operating as an online store, ensuring our customers can still purchase from us. We have had a fantastic relationship with our suppliers and would like to thank them all for the support throughout the last five years. I would like to personally mention Kate from ABS Holdings, Richie and Jane from Creative Conceptions and Clive from Scala for the continuing support and advice given to me.”
She continued: “I am excited about starting a new chapter in my life with the launch of Sexopoly. I am, of course, sad to see SWALK close, but feel that 2010 will be a very busy year for us. Our retail customers have been very understanding and we already have a waiting list for the game.”
Since that first news story appeared in ETO, IOS Games has updated the board with a new ‘funky’ look. rnrnWendy added: “We have had a fantastic response and are now in talks with companies to distribute Sexopoly around the world.”
