Orgasmatronics develops ‘bionic' strap-on

Orgasmatronics Inc. has launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the Ambrosia Vibe — a new type of responsive strap-on dildo.

Developed by the company’s co-founder, Dr. X Treme, a former federal quantum physicist, the Ambrosia acts as an active organ rather than a static piece of silicone by registering various stimulation types and mimicking them through a corresponding clitoral vibrator worn at the base of the unit.

The toy features a ‘sense vein’ on the underside of its dildo attachment, which senses pressure, rubbing, pushing, or sucking. The pressure applied to the tube is then transmitted to the control box where it is measured and replicated in the vibrator in the base of the strap-on. The speed of the vibrations directly correspond with the pressure applied to the dildo. In addition, the Ambrosia Vibe is made with body-safe silicone and is dishwasher safe.

“One of the most liberating uses for technology in general is to free individuals from the constraints of their bodies, whether it’s letting us see things hundreds of miles away, fly, or live underwater,” said Dr. X. Treme. “Our technology lets people not born with a biological penis have a richer experience as they play with sensation of their new ‘organ.’ We hope that this improves people’s lives and makes them happier with whatever their sexual and gender identities are.”

According to the company, Dr. X. Treme has a PhD in applied physics from Yale and a maths/physics double degree from Berkeley, and has developed several technologies from concept to application in the quantum electronics field.
