OhMiBod is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month by launching a writing contest, with prizes to include a $1,000 scholarship and OhMiBod products, plus online exposure for the winning entrants.
OhMiBod created the original music-driven vibrator, which allowed users to sync to MP3 players and ‘feel the music’ by experiencing the beat and rhythm of their favourite songs.
“Creating the original OhMiBod was about more than finding a fresh take on adult pleasure products,” said OhMiBod founder Suki Dunham. “We also wanted to create a socially acceptable vibrator that would help break the stigma around the human right of self-pleasure. Nothing about our mission has changed.”
The OhMiBod Classic was followed by other innovative releases, including the Club Vibe, the Freestyle, blueMotion, and Lovelife product lines, which garnered honours ranging from the prestigious Red Dot Design award to ‘Best of CES’. The company also created OhMiBod Remote, a mobile app that allows users to connect with one another and share intimate experiences from anywhere in the world.
OhMiBod was the first pleasure products manufacturer to showcase its vibes at technology show CES, debuting in 2010 and becoming a regular exhibitor since.
