ETO has learned that Nick Orlandino, former CEO of Pipedream Products, has passed away at the age of 54. A larger-than-life character in every sense, Nick joined Pipedream in 1992 as vice president of sales and marketing and in 1994 he was made a partner in the firm, eventually moving up to CEO and moulding the company in his own image. Under Nick’s leadership, Pipedream became known for its outrageous stunts, extreme products, and unparalleled generosity towards its retail customers, which included hosting legendary parties at trade events such as EroFame.

Pipedream had one of the biggest trophy cabinets in the industry, to host its many awards from trade publications, and Nick himself was singled out for his services to the industry by ETO and was named Man of the Year by US trade body the Free Speech Coalition in 2014.

Nick was also instrumental in launching the ANME Show in 1996, and we understand the organisers of next week’s event will be honouring Nick’s memory at the show.

Nick stepped down from Pipedream in 2018 and was looking forward to spending more time with those close to him during his retirement. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and there have been many tributes to him on social media. Everyone at ETO wishes to pass on our condolences to Nick’s family and friends at this tragic time.
