Newsnight tackles pornography and censorship

ATVOD 'making difficult trading conditions unmanageable'

This week’s edition of Newsnight on BBC2 will be discussing pornography and censorship, and Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent proposals for ‘opt out’ filtering will no doubt be high on the agenda. Among the guests on the programme will be Jerry Barnett [pictured], former chair of trade body AITA and founder of VOD porn site Strictly Broadband. A seasoned media debater, Barnett formed campaign group Sex and Censorship earlier this year – notching up over a dozen interviews in a single day following the announcement of Cameron’s proposals.

The Newsnight programme will be broadcast on BBC2 at 10:30pm on Wednesday 14th August. The Sex and Censorship Facebook page can be found here.
