New smart vibrator syncs to audio fantasies through mobile app

A new style of interactive clitoral vibrator has cropped up, thanks to an innovative team at Vibease. The Vibease wearable smart vibrator is a Bluetooth-enabled device that syncs its vibrations to audio fantasies through a mobile app. The product hasn’t quite made that last hurdle to market yet, being the subject of an Indiegogo campaign to raise $15,000 (£9,770), but viral momentum is building for this novel little gadget.

Measuring in at a tiny 3.1inches, this silicone massager is quiet, USB rechargeable, can be worn inside underwear, boasts a battery of up to three hours and is waterproof. The makers say that unlike most vibrators, which focus on the strength of the vibrations, Vibease focuses on “the biggest sex organ”, the brain.

The directions of the Vibease are for the wearer to place the vibrator against her lady-parts and then select an audio fantasy from the Fantasy App’s library. The intensity of the vibrations then syncs with the narrative, peaking at climatic points accordingly. Eventually, binaural audio (3D sound) should be incorporated into the experience to make it sound as though the voices in the user’s headphones are in the room.

The Indiegogo project page explains: “Women’s fantasies tend to be less graphic and more emotional and intimate than men’s. That’s why we created a library of audio stories that will usher you away into an exciting world of fantasy.”

Other functions of the app include the ability to record your partner’s voice and customise the levels of vibration to suit your preferences. You can even share your own recordings to the Fantasy Library for others enjoy.

Alternative apps are also available for the Vibease, including the Intimate App, which allows the massager to be controlled remotely by an absent partner. This includes a private messaging system and the ability to create “special moves and vibrations”.

Both apps will be available in Android and iOS versions and will be free to Vibease customers. Pre-orders for the Vibease are available at $69 (£45) on the product’s Indiegogo page.
