New male sexual health brand seeks to tackle premature ejaculation

There’s a new name in the male sexual health sector, and it is promising pioneering science and medical backed solutions founded on pioneering international research. The CEO of MYHIXEL is Patricia López Trabajo [pictured], who will be familiar to many industry insiders from her time in the commercial and marketing departments of Fleshlight Europe. There she discovered a study revealing that 31% of men between 18 and 56 years of age suffer from premature ejaculation, and 85% of these men prefer to keep quiet about the problem.

“Those figures really shocked me,” said Patricia. “That such an important male sexual dysfunction was still considered so taboo in this era genuinely blew my mind. It led me to research further and I discovered that men wanted more information on premature ejaculation and how to last longer in bed, but nowhere to go to get advice but the internet and local GP practice. My research showed that men weren’t comfortable speaking to their doctor about these subjects. I knew from that moment that something needed to change, we needed to normalise these taboos, and the journey to discovering the MYHIXEL brand was born.”

She continues: “Advances in science and technology have really enabled us to re-evaluate and transform our thinking around male sexual health and how we deal with common male sexual health issues such as premature ejaculation. Our ethos transcends just the why and how by reframing that sexual dysfunction, originally labelled as a disease, is more likely a societal psychological conditioning. Through extensive research and by using ground-breaking advances in technology, we found a way to successfully marry cognitive science behaviour and gamification to enhance the unlearning processes that trigger the premature pattern or response of the ejaculatory reflex. It is through the cognitive learning process and communications that healthy is the new focus and sexual base, and that it’s now more than OK for an individual to want to improve their sexual satisfaction without having to fear shame.”

The company’s work is said to be based on years of medical research in collaboration with the University of Murcia and Elche, the Sexology Institute of Murcia and the Urology Area of Rafael Mendez Public Hospital. In 2018, MYHIXEL managed to secure 100% of the funding it targeted in a Kickstarter campaign in less than 33 hours.

Patricia calculated that one device was sold every four minutes, showing just how eager men actually are to get their hands on an alternative therapy. The product was officially launched in the summer of the following year and the valuation of the company after the last investment was €2million. It has also signed an agreement with a marketer of medical devices for male sexual pathologies in the United States.

Patricia says that MYHIXEL has been designed to improve men’s sexual wellbeing in a natural and enjoyable way without uncomfortable side effects, numbing creams or expensive therapies. Its solutions are said to help men control their climax up to 7 x longer in an easy, comfortable and fun environment, which has been proven on more than 1,000 users who increased their climax control after performing the MYHIXEL exercises.

The MYHIXEL methods combine the anonymised MYHIXEL Play app with a gamified and personalised scientific program, with the MYHIXEL I aid pleasure device designed specifically to achieve climax control.

MYHIXEL TR includes the MYHIXEL Play TR program + MYHIXEL I and is said to be ideal for solo or partner play, for men who want to enjoy an enhanced, longer-lasting experience, for men who want next level pleasure, and for men who want to acquire specific motor skills that improve the quality of their sexual performance.

For men who ejaculate within three minutes of a sexual interaction with penetration, MYHIXEL MED includes the Play MED program + MYHIXEL I device plus a first online appointment with specialised professionals.

Prices are £189 and £239 respectively from www.myhixel.com

“Currently there are many companies with products for female sexual wellbeing, however, it is difficult to find specialised brands for men,” says Patricia. “In MYHIXEL we wanted to respond to this need, and, for this reason, we have developed a scientifically-proven method, the result of pioneering research in its field, which aims to improve the quality of sexual relationships by controlling a man’s climax in a natural way and with no side effects. We are incredibly proud of this work and will continue to work towards healthy attitudes towards men’s sexual health, helping men to enjoy their sex lives more and express themselves openly about their concerns.”
