Merchant accounts for all

A new Net 1on1 initiative is set to solve one of the biggest problems facing online traders and start-ups – obtaining a merchant account to process credit and debit card transactions.

Net 1on1 has teamed up with SecureTrading to help online adult traders obtain a merchant account with ease. A merchant account, along with SecureTrading’s payment processing service, will allow adult businesses to process online credit and debit card payments in the same way as any mainstream business.

“Adult businesses unfortunately still face prejudice from banks and often find difficulty obtaining a merchant account,” says Monique Carty, Net 1on1 Director. “We are joining forces with SecureTrading to make the process less painful and offer an added service to our customers.”

SecureTrading is one of the UK’s leading independent payment solution providers and is fully PCI DSS Level 1 accredited. Through its network of acquiring banks, it is uniquely placed to offer the adult industry a complete solution to taking payments online. SecureTrading will provide the Internet MID and payment gateway in one package, enabling adult businesses to begin trading online quickly and easily. The company’s fully supported services are scalable and resilient, incorporating 2048-bit encryption, 3-D Secure, AVS, Security Code and other anti-fraud technology within its payment processing systems.

As with all credit applications, every case will be assessed on its individual merits but SecureTrading confirmed to ETO that no business will be turned away simply because it deals in adult products. Applicants do not have to have an account with Net 1on1 to apply for the facility.
