Lovense has reinforced its commitment to protecting innovation within the intimacy technology sector by taking legal action against the unauthorised use of its proprietary technology and product designs.
The company said the continued growth of the modern intimacy industry has been driven by brands investing in new ideas, technologies and consumer experiences. While Lovense welcomes innovation across the sector, it stated that it’ll take action when its intellectual property rights are infringed.
According to the company, legal proceedings against the sale of infringing products have already resulted in distributors in the United States voluntarily ceasing sales and entering into compliance agreements with Lovense.
Lovense said these early outcomes reflect a broader recognition across the industry that intellectual property rights are enforceable and that businesses investing in original research and development deserve legal protection.
“Every act of IP enforcement is not just about defending one company. It is about upholding transparency, integrity, and the consumer experience across the entire industry,” said Dan Liu, CEO of Lovense. “We refuse to overlook infringement simply because an offending party is small. The principle matters more than the scale.”
Lovense added that it will continue pursuing appropriate legal action to protect its intellectual property globally and encouraged other brands facing similar challenges to enforce their rights where necessary.
