Lovehoney launches first bricks-and-mortar retail store

The very first Lovehoney bricks-and-mortar retail store is now open in London’s Covent Garden. In an interview in the latest issue of ETO, new Lovehoney CEO Sarah Warby [pictured] said: “Physical retail is tough but we’re going to give it a go and see what happens.”

If you want to visit this physical manifestation of the online retailer you will have to be quick though, as the pop-up shop will only be open for a limited time, which is why it’s called the 12 Days of Christmas.

Sarah Warby was appointed Lovehoney CEO in September, and her background includes stints as marketing director with brands such as Sainsbury’s and Heineken.

“I’m really looking forward to being in the shop and seeing our customers, because that’s the world I come from: being in shops and watching customers interact with products,” she told ETO. “We have to do that remotely at the moment, through the insights we get from our websites, so it will be brilliant to actually meet our customers and hear what they think of our products and get to understand what they would like from us that’s different, either online or in a physical shop.”

The full interview with Sarah Warby can be found in the November issue of ETO, which is available to read online now.
