Lovehoney is back on the box with Frisky Business

Online retail giant Lovehoney is returning to our TV screens later this month in Frisky Business, a new six-part series which takes a look into the lives of some of the people who work there. The company previously featured in a Channel 4 documentary, called More Sex Please We’re British, in May 2012, which went behind the scenes of the operation and followed the firm’s progress as it revamped its Coco de Mer retail outlet. That broadcast reportedly brought in a deluge of new business, not just to Lovehoney but also to many of its competitors, and the many repeated viewings the documentary has enjoyed on More 4 will not have hurt sales either.

Frisky Business will be broadcast on the Lifetime channel (Sky 156/Virgin 242) at 10pm from March 26th. According to Lifetime, the six one-hour programmes “offers a fun and provocative insight into modern working life in the sex toy retail industry.”

The channel adds, in its guide to the cast of characters: “Each episode features strong, character-driven storylines from a cast of pickers, packers, buyers, customer care staff, toy reviewers and the returns department. Andrea, in the returns department, dons plastic gloves to inspect the returned goods and the customers’ accompanying letters that make for interesting reading. TV presenter and sexpert Annabelle presents video content on the company’s website, explaining how the sex toys work. Chelsea and Laura in the call centre spend their days talking to customers about everything from dildos to different flavoured lubricants. Ecommerce expert Matt knows everything about the company and customer habits such as that the most popular time for British couples to have sex is 7:37pm on a Saturday. Alice manages the online community, where customers can share their photos and experiences online – if they are suitable. Cazz is the editorial assistant in the content team. What Cazz doesn’t know about butt plugs simply isn’t worth knowing.”
