LoadXXX has agreed an exclusive distribution deal with leading gay film studio Triga Films. The first two releases from LoadXXX will be Young Offenders and White Van Man, and the whole of the Triga back catalogue will also be available from the company.
Triga was launched seven years ago by film industry veterans Andrew Smith and James Crosbie, who wanted to see more ‘realistic’ gay porn films.
“Although we realised that the industry itself was extremely successful, we both felt that there had to be something else other than ‘wallpaper’ adult fare,” commented James Crosbie. “Although we both understood the fantasy aspect of porn made in that style, it is like drinking champagne for breakfast, lunch and dinner when the reality is we all drink beer.”
Andrew Smith added: “One of the greatest pleasures I find in what we do is to watch the glut of similar products that soon seep out after we have released our latest film. They do say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery – so we must be doing something right.”
Triga has since made more than 100 films, becoming known for its raw style of realistic porn. The brand was previously distributed to the trade by Clonezone, but Smith said: “We felt it was time to move to a more forward thinking and pro-active distribution company, an organisation that could take our brand to the next level. We feel that LoadXXX is that company.”
