Honey Play Box has called for “a more open, ethical, and collaborative ecosystem” in the global pleasure technology movement. The brand says that pleasure tech has “evolved from a niche curiosity to a global movement shaping modern intimacy” and that with that growth comes a shared responsibility for manufacturers to prioritise transparency, integrity and consumer protection. HPB is calling for innovation to “serve the industry and consumers alike” and not to be used to control competition.
HPB has announced three core commitments: ethical design (using body-safe materials, privacy-first engineering, and safety at every level); transparency and accountability (“honest communication” with partners, peers and consumers), and fair innovation (global collaboration, and competition that elevates others).
“As an American brand, we believe every company in the pleasure-tech space shares a responsibility to protect consumer interests, ensure privacy, and promote healthy, open competition,” said a Honey Play Box representative. “Progress must be built on transparency and collaboration, not monopolistic practices that limit access or creativity.”
The California-based company highlighted what it calls its “ethical, consumer-first approach”, which it says champions fairness, inclusivity and accountability in all its product and partnerships. The company is now calling on all global innovators to “uphold open-market principles that promote trust, equality, and continuous advancement for all”.
