Harmony signs Playboy TV deal

In an agreement struck with Playboy TV executives Jeremy Yates and Dan Alderman, Harmony Films will run 24 hardcore films on the channel, along with 24 specially-edited soft versions across 2011. These will include six Young Harlot films, with the option of shooting an additional Young Harlots feature in late summer. The British production company said it was delighted to have its label associated with Playboy and that the previously R18-only firm relishes the challenges of creating a softcore catalogue.

Harmony Films’ CEO Chris Norman commented: “On a number of occasions, I have heard Harmony Films referred to as one of industry’s best kept secrets. I think the secret is now out! We enjoyed three awards at this year’s AVN, partnered with Zero Tolerance to manage our distribution in the USA and now our 2011 broadcast deal with Playboy TV firmly puts Harmony on the map. With all the doom and gloom surrounding DVD sales in general, it feels great to have a wealth of optimism going into 2011.”

Future plans for the studio include the option of working with a new director in late 2011, perhaps developing 3D production and continuing to expand YoungHarlotsAcademy.com
