Unlike in the US, where the practice is protected by the First Amendment, porn production studios in the UK rarely produce parodies of mainstream properties. Britporn studio Harmony Films has just completed its first however, which is set for worldwide DVD release on the 1st of April.
The title, Down on Abby, has been inspired by the popularity of the award-winning and much loved British TV drama series with a similar name, as James Wright, VP of sales and marketing at Harmony explained: “As Down on Abby is our first foray into the world of adult parody and with Harmony being a British studio, it was a no brainer that our first offering would be with something that is quintessentially British.”
Harmony says Down on Abby is set at the beautiful Bottomley Manor, home to the eccentric and debauched Lord and Lady Grabhem and their stepdaughters Abby and Fanny. The film follows the upper class family upstairs, and members of the working class staff downstairs, including characters with names such as Master Bates as they prepare for a dinner party quite unlike any other. The cast includes the legendary Ben Dover, Lexi Lowe, Jasmine Jae and Ava Dalush, along with Clarke Kent and Tony De Sergio.
Harmony Films believes the popularity of the original series will contribute to the success of the adult spoof version, which is expected to be available in both 18 and R18 versions. For more information visit www.downonabby.com
