Pipedream and Jimmyjane continue to shine in the mainstream spotlight, with the companies recently being featured on Goop.com, a weekly lifestyle publication curated by Gwyneth Paltrow. The American actress, who has starred in movies such as Seven, Emma, Sliding Doors, and Shakespeare in Love – for which she won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards – was formerly married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin and she has been the face of Estée Lauder’s Pleasures perfume since 2005. She started Goop.com in 2008 as a newsletter where she could share her lifestyle recommendations.
Goop.com highlighted a range of pleasure products in its first ever ‘sex’ issue, saying: “Sex toys have long since graduated from the floppy rubber things you hide in your bedside table to beautiful works of interactive art,” and the site featured four of Pipedream and Jimmyjane’s best-selling lines, including Fetish Fantasy Gold Beginner’s Fantasy Kit , Fetish Fantasy Series Limited Edition Black Glass Ben-Wa Balls, Jimmyjane Seduce Me Feather Tickler, and Jimmyjane Form 2.
“We are very proud to see that mainstream outlets and audiences continue to embrace the innovations of pleasure products,” said Pipedream chairman and CEO Nick Orlandino. “Our unique designs have created incredible mainstream crossover appeal and that’s what makes Pipedream and Jimmyjane the top adult manufacturers in the world.”
Robert Rheaume, president of Jimmyjane, said: “It is great to see someone of Gwyneth’s status and notoriety embracing sexual health and wellbeing. Pleasure products have the ability to enhance our sexual experiences and relationships, and seeing sites like Goop embrace this notion helps build confidence and acceptance within the public. They clearly did some research, especially in choosing our Form 2 which has always been a top seller in the industry, and we were honoured to be a part of this list.”
