With much of the world in lockdown, CalExotics is offering free colouring pages for people over the age of 18 looking for a new and calming activity during this time of uncertainty – and those who are particularly proud of their work can enter their creations in a competition organised through social media. The colouring pages feature monochromatic outlines of vibrators, adult toys and other CalExotics graphics, and can be downloaded from www.calexotics.com/adult-coloring
“Now more than ever, it’s important for our customers and followers to find ways to calm down, relax and be present for themselves and others,” said Nichole Grossmann, director of marketing at CalExotics. “For some, that may mean taking a long walk outside, drawing a bubble bath, or scheduling time for sex and/or masturbation. For others, that may very well mean sitting down for 30 minutes to colour – or any combination of those things.”
CalExotics cites a post from the Cleveland Clinic, which states that colouring can be therapeutic for adults who are experiencing stress because it helps relax their brains. It does this by bringing attention to the present moment, similar to meditation, and provides a low-stakes activity with no real consequence, which can be rewarding and anxiety-reducing for people.
“Masturbation has also been proven to regulate stress and reduce anxiety,” added Grossmann. “And while masturbation is our area of expertise, of course, CalExotics wanted to provide another thoughtful and free option for people to de-stress during this time as a sign of unity. We’re all in this together.”
CalExotics’ followers who submit their masterpieces using hashtag #calexoticscoloringcontest and tag @calexotics, three friends, and their favorite adult store, will be entered into a competition to win their favorite product from the collections featured on the coloring pages (Naughty Bits, Hype, Mini Marvels and California Dreaming). The contest will end on April 28th 2020 at 12 a.m. PST.
