Journalist, broadcaster and sex educator Alix Fox will be helping to run a high profile charity jumble sale on May 14th and she is looking for donations of erotic goods. Called Rumble in the Jumble, the event will be led by Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney, and visitors will be able to buy celebrity clothes donated by the likes of Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, Annie Lennox, Elton John, Florence & the Machine, and many more, along with new stock donated by big brands.
In 2015 the event raised £27,000 for charity, and this time the organisers want to raise even more, to help Oxfam’s women’s projects in Myanmar. Alix will be in charge of the event’s first ever sex stall – Fumble in the Jumble – and she would like donations of adult toys and products, lingerie, hosiery, erotic books, and burlesque gear – in short, anything that has even a vague connection to bedroom fun, plus anything to help people ‘get glam and fabulous’ such as hair products, makeup, wigs etc.
Durex has already donated 2,500 condoms and 40 Sexlection boxes of lube and vibrators and Alix says the event is going to get significant press – so firms which donate could get media coverage in return for their donations plus the chance to be connected to some famous names and a great cause. Photos of donations will be posted on social media in the run-up to the event to drum up excitement, giving an additional opportunity for exposure.
