Television X’s wonderfully named SHAFTAs (Soft and Hard Adult Film and Television Awards) returns to the industry calendar on Thursday 8th September 2016 at The Rah Rah Room in the heart of London’s Piccadilly. In previous years the SHAFTAs have picked up mainstream media attention from outlets as diverse as Vice News and the BBC, and the broadcaster says 2016’s event will be extra special as it is celebrating its 21st birthday.
This year’s theme is 1920s’ decadence – think Great Gatsby gone porno, says the organisers, with excess and debauchery a top priority. VIP guests are expected to include Scotty T and Gaz from MTV’s Geordie Shore and we understand that former Big Brother housemate, and persistent tabloid headline maker, Marco Pierre White Jr will be presenting one of the awards.
Members of the public will have a chance of attending as everyone who votes via SMS will automatically be entered into a draw with the chance of winning tickets to the night.
